Born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina, Quinn Hunter has spent her entire life in the southern half of the United States. She pulls from this experience, as well as her Baptist up bringing, to in form her practice. Quinn’s primary concern is the place and continued status of African-Americans in society. Her intent is to covey the monochromatic and dimensional human experiences of the 21st African-Americans in what she calls the “New” Antebellum South.
