Debbie Quick is a Research Fellow with VCUarts Research Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of the Arts. She received her B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art at Temple University with a focus in Ceramics and a certification in teaching. She received her M.F.A. from VCUarts in Ceramics. She holds a Leadership Development Certificate from the Grace E. Harris Leadership institute at VCU. She received a Distinguished Faculty Service Award from VCUarts, An Artist in Residency from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, and was a F. Lommat Belin Arts Scholarship finalist three times. Quick has had a solo exhibition at Quirk Vault Gallery, Richmond, VA and AFA Gallery, Scranton, PA. Her work has been shown regionally and nationally. In 2017 she has had work in a number of exhibitions, most recently,“Tasmeem” as part of the Tasmeem conference in Doha, Qatar and at “Within Reach 2017” at ArtSpace Gallery in Richmond, VA.
