VCU School of the Arts and the Health Science Campus have teamed up to provide a new fellowship open to faculty and students aimed at exploring the intersection of arts and health. Two awards of $3,500 and two awards of $6,000 will be granted to support interdisciplinary projects that utilize arts and design skills to improve methods of teaching and delivering healthcare.
Undergraduates applying for the fellowship should identify a faculty mentor. Fellows will be selected based on prior evidence of excellence in their field, the ability to think in unconventional ways, experience in interdisciplinary research, evidence of project management skills, and the potential contribution of the proposed project to overcome a healthcare problem.
