Our Sister Campus Celebrates 15 Years in Doha

Screen Shot 2013-02-08 at 9.54.16 AM

VCUQatar, our sister campus in Doha, is celebrating an impressive milestone with its 15-year anniversary. In 1998, VCUQatar became the first campus established in Education City (now Hamad bin Khalifa University), paving the way for what is now a broad and historically productive partnership between Qatar and American universities. Since VCUQatar was founded, five other American universities have also established branches in Qatar.

By bringing some of the best of what American universities can offer to Doha, Qatar is making itself a leader in education for the region and the world. VCUQatar, along with its fellow American universities, plays an important role in assisting Qatar in its National Visions 2030. Hamad bin Khalifa University is a unique international fixture that brings together youth from across the world, giving them a global focus and a world-class education. VCUQatar is a key component to the institution.

The US-Qatar Business Council views the continued cooperation of American universities and the State of Qatar as a major and vital link between the two countries and we look forward to celebrating continued VCUQatar anniversaries in the future.
