It’s substantial. Quality education is not defined by cost of tuition. You can go to a great art school and pay a lot in tuition or you can go to an equally great school and pay less. At VCUarts, you’ll pay less.

Financial Aid
Grants are awards based on financial need and do not require employment. Loans are awards that require repayment after the student leaves VCU. Work study is a part-time employment, usually on campus.
All students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. To be considered for the maximum amount of financial eligibility, students should apply for financial aid before the recommended deadline of February 1.
Scholarships
Each fall, the Undergraduate Scholarship Program grants financial awards to outstanding students entering VCUarts. Selection of scholars is made on the basis of merit in the area of academic achievement and artistic talent.
Scholarships are awarded to fall semester applicants only. Students who wish to be considered for a scholarship must submit an essay. We also encourage all applicants seeking scholarship consideration to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
The scholarship deadline for undergraduate freshmen is December 1st.
